Pastor, Concordia Lutheran Church
Pastor Koch was born in Minnesota to two Lutheran grade school teachers, Ken and Karen Koch, in 1984. He was united to Emily Ann Koch (nee Pryor) in marriage on July 29th, 2005. Pastor and his wife are blessed with three children: Ezra, Evelyn, and Levi.
Pastor Koch went to Trinity Lutheran Grade School in St. Francis, Minnesota. He received his high school education at St. Francis Public High School, also located in St. Francis, MN. After high school, he followed in his parents' footsteps and traveled to Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, where he received a degree in Communications: Writing and Rhetoric. Following in his great-great-grandfather's, great-grandfather's, and grandfather's footsteps, Pastor Koch traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, in 2006 and received his seminary education at Concordia Seminary. He spent a year-long internship (also known as "vicarage") at Salem Lutheran Church in Salem, Illinois, under the supervision of Pastor Douglas Meyer. Rather than taking a call after graduating from the seminary in 2010, Pastor Koch stayed at St. Louis for an additional year to work on his STM (Master of Sacred Theology). Pastor received his STM degree from Concordia Seminary in 2013.
Pastor Koch was ordained into the Holy Ministry on July 3rd, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wecota, SD. He has continued to serve that congregation, along with its sister congregation, Concordia Lutheran Church in Cresbard, SD since that time.
Pastor Koch enjoys hunting, fishing, trapping, reading, and collecting baseball cards.
