The Church of the Ascension is a wonderful community oasis that has been serving the community since 1846.
Please join us as we seek to love God and our neighbor as ourselves.
Whether you are rich or poor, a city slicker or country bumpkin; a new arrival or a life long Brooklynite; liberal or conservative; LGBTQ, straight; filled with doubts or certain in your Faith: there is a place for you at Ascension. Welcome!
Sunday December 24th at 11am we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent
Sunday December 24th at 5pm we have a Christmas Eve Carol and Hymn sing for families and others (40 mins)
Sunday December 24th at 8pm we have our Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist with hymns and sermon (1 hour)
Monday December 25th at 11 am we have our Christmas Day service
We are a small church but we try to have a big heart. We have founded a Mobile Soup Kitchen and Social Service office, the ANGELMOBILE that serves 1,000 meals a week all over North Brooklyn and brings a busload of hope and love for all in need. We have also just built a brand new commercial kitchen to locally source and cook food. Go here to find out how you can help
Also, every Saturday we help host a "community meal" for those who desire one. To get connected with this work Click here
